Flos

Temporary, Frankfurt, 2018
For Light+Building in Frankfurt, the high technology fair for architectural lighting, Frassinago designed the greenery of the Flos stand.A temporary garden with grey-green, grey-purple, and grey-blue tones contrasts the rigid, concrete shapes designed by Vincent Van Duysen, inspired by Roman houses. In the central patio, a carpet of evergreen essences appears, typical of arid and coastal areas, from which the orange flowers of Aloe or the rosettes of Aeonium emerge, green or an almost black purple. Natural waves, sinuous and graphic shapes are emphasized by the lighting fixtures hidden among the plants, creating chiaroscuro effects between the different plant shapes. And thanks to a precise use of light, the soft tones of this meadow of grasses, succulents, and cacti, light up and shine.
