Soft Walls

Temporary, Milan, 2017
Beyond a curtain where plasterboard simulates cement, a landscape opens up: a poplar grove, like those along the rivers and canals of the Po valley, is brought inside a fairground and, helped by the play of light, it confuses and blurs its boundaries.
The poplars rise from the ground to reach different heights, even beyond the threshold of the ceiling of the stand conceived by Studio Calvi Brambilla. In the lower level sedge bushes rise, as if along a stream.
The silvery leaves of the poplars, moved by the passage of visitors, generate a vibration of light and shadow.
