Headquarter, Interior, Bologna, 2016
In the atrium of the Illumia headquarters, overlooked by all the offices, rise four very tall Ficus bellengeri: the vigour of an equatorial forest brought in a travertine cube. Frassinago designed solutions both to support the weight of the greenery on the floor and to create an invisible irrigation system inside the large handmade terracotta pots. The figs can thus continue to grow, wrapping and intertwining, making lianas fall from above. The void of the inner courtyard is crossed by the movement of the dark leaves, by their shadows cast on the walls.
