Unipol Headquarter

For the Unipol headquarters in Bologna, Frassinago created two large hanging gardens and has been following their growth over the years. In the suspended square and in the adjacent company courtyard, pear trees and flowering apple trees rise from flowerbeds of Phyllirea and Pennisetum. The soft green masses of the grasses and the leaves of the trees move in the air, in this pleasant break from the surrounding urban environment. The passage that leads to the Auditorium is instead turning more and more into a green corridor: tall Parrotia plants reach out toward the beams of the ceiling, overcoming them, while at their feet grows a carpet of ivy, box, and lilyturf.
