House B

Garden, Residential, Bologna, 2018
The garden embraces the house almost entirely: you can enjoy the view over the greenery from each side. Sitting in the large living room facing south, you can let your gaze wander from the lawn to the hills, which rise beyond the long neoclassical balustrade and the corrugated trunks of the majestic pre-existing black pines. On the south east side, an old monumental olive tree is surrounded by rosemary, yews, and flowerbeds of iceberg roses in a soft Mediterranean atmosphere.
In the northwest, an outdoor lounge is surrounded by hydrangeas and maples, woods for shady areas, like in an English garden. The balance of light and shadow changes over the hours of the day, illuminating or softening the green and white of the foliage and flowers.
