Naturescape

Temporary, Milan, 2013
"Water is a powerful sculptor. Stone is a patient material. Water can also transform the hardest materials into something soft and delicate but... it is stone which marks the path." Kengo Kuma
In the Porta Nuova Varesine area, among the new skyscrapers of Milan, a japanese garden, a break of calm and zen simplicity. The Naturescape project, installation by Kengo Kuma with Frassinago and Casone, was created on the occasion of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2013. A landscape of reflecting pools delimited by Florentine pietraforte slabs, softly contoured, from which a bamboo forest rises. Attention to detail to obtain simplicity and elegance.
