A different landscape
A dark landscape of volcanic rock, inhabited by sparse, delicate vegetation. For Platek's pavilion at Euroluce 2025, Frassinago recreated the essence of a remote place — far from urban settlements and light pollution — within an indoor setting.
Each mineral element was carefully selected: stones, boulders, pebbles, and fine lava breccia compose the features of a dense, arid terrain. From this ground, lighting fixtures emerge, casting shadows and reflections.
Among the rocky forms, plants like teucrium, festuca, sedum, thyme and kalanchoe appear to have always grown there. Like an island in the middle of th ocean, this natural wolrd seems to radiate a different , mysterious kind of life — one that is not hostile, just otherwordly.
