Furla
A historic residence on the outskirts of Bologna has been home to Furla since the late 1990s. Before welcoming the fashion house, the 16th-century villa and its surrounding garden underwent a meticulous restoration: the landscape was redesigned with understated elegance by architect Paolo Pejrone.
Since then, Frassinago has overseen the garden’s growth, which over the years has matured into a true park. Tall cypresses, stone pines, and cedars inhabit the space around the villa, blending seamlessly with the spontaneous natural surroundings and becoming part of the landscape.
Yet, near the house, the garden reclaims elements of classicism: terracotta pots hold spheres of boxwood, hedges form geometric patterns, and symmetrical shrub compositions add structure—such as the two grand osmanthus plants framing the villa’s entrance. A park that merges majesty and elegance, engaging in a continuous dialogue with time and history.
