Fondazione La Biennale

Terrace, Venice, 2008
Venice from above: this is the view that opens in front of the Ca’ Giustinian terrace, headquarters of the Biennale. For the top floor of this late-Gothic building, a few steps from Piazza San Marco, Frassinago designed, for the ‘Special Projects’ section of the Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia, a versatile space, with wooden flooring and low, burnished-metal planters in the exposed parts, plus modular pergolas designed specifically to define more protected corners. Pittosporum, lavender, agapanthus, and woods resistant to sea wind complete this representative hall and place of wonder.
